Rebate Check started with the federal heat pump rebate announced in October 2026. It's the first heat pump rebate in years that applies in every province, and the first question everyone has is what their province adds on top. Each province has its own rules, income tables and fine print, so we put them in one checker.
How we check the numbers
- Every amount comes from the official program page or program guide, and each page shows the date we last checked it.
- If the federal government or a province hasn't published something yet, we say so instead of guessing.
- A script checks the official pages every month and flags any that change. A person then reads the change and updates the site.
What we're not
- Affiliated with the Government of Canada, any provincial government, Efficiency Nova Scotia, Efficiency Manitoba, Alberta Municipalities or any utility.
- An installer. We don't do the work.
- The final word on eligibility. The programs decide that.
How we make money
If you ask us for quotes, we put you in touch with an installer in your area where we have one. If you go ahead with the job, the installer may pay us a referral fee. You don't pay anything, and it doesn't change your rebate. The checker and guides are free and you don't need to sign up to use them.
